Welcome in Jesus Christ.
We are delighted to have you visit our website today.
Providence Church is a joyful fellowship of Christians whose life and message are found in these commitments:
The Bible is God’s Word, sufficient and authoritative for faith and life.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the only Savior and Lord.
The one true and living God delights in holy worship and meets his people there.
Our lives are to be lived as disciples of the Lord Jesus, by his grace and to his praise.
The church is the universal family of God, a creation of the Holy Spirit, co-heirs with Jesus Christ, being brought into the unity of the faith from every sort of background.
Do you desire to become a friend of the Lord God who made you? Or maybe you already know the Lord, but you are new to the area, or you need a church home. We are already praying for you! Each week as a congregation and in our daily prayers, we ask God to work in people’s hearts to bring them into fellowship with Christ and to make us at Providence his servants in their lives. We hope you are an answer to our prayers: someone who needs to know Jesus the Savior, or someone who needs the friendship of his church.
If that’s you, please consider attending worship with us, where you will experience God meeting with his people, being glorified in their prayers and praise, and speaking to us from his Word. Please reach out to us by completing the form below, or visiting us on social media, if we can answer any questions for you, pray for you, or serve you in some other way.

What To Expect: The Lord’s Day At Providence

Holy Worship ✚ Morning & Evening
10:00AM & 5:30PM
In public worship, the triune God enjoys loving fellowship with his people: the Father with his redeemed children, the Son with his beloved bride, and the Holy Spirit with the living temple in which he dwells. This worship is holy, reverent, joyful, biblical, and sincere. Following the biblical and ancient pattern, the congregation keeps Sunday, the Lord’s Day, as the Christian Sabbath, resting from worldly labors and cares, and worshipping morning and evening. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on alternating mornings and evenings.

CORPORATE PRAYER
4:45PM
Prayer is an essential and normal part of the life of a biblical church. In our corporate prayer meeting we gather both to give thanks and to bring our requests to our compassionate God. We pray for God to apply the morning’s sermon to us, for the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the needs of God’s people and others we love.

SPRING ARBOR NURSING HOME MINISTRY
1:30 PM
Members of the congregation visit, read Scripture, pray, sing hymns, and bring an exhortation from the Word of God to the shut-in residents of our local nursing home. We also are willing to provide transportation to and from worship for any who desire.

FELLOWSHIP MEALS
EVERY 4th SUNDAY
Following the morning worship service, we have a time for coffee and fellowship. Every 4th Sunday, members and guest feast and fellowship together in a shared family meal. This is a great opportunity for casual conversation and encouragement. We plan enough food and desserts for visitors, and would be happy for you to stay as our guests.
FACEBOOK & SERMON AUDIO
We broadcast our services live on Facebook for those who are ill or otherwise shut in, and we archive our sermons at Sermon Audio.
Learning To Follow Christ: Discipleship

PROVIDENCE CATECHISM SCHOOL
SCHOOL YEAR WEDNESDAY Evenings
Meal: 5:30-6:30PM ($5 individual, $12 family)
Classes: 6:30-8:00PM
Providence offers a complete curriculum of Bible Survey and Westminster Catechism education taught by elders for ages 6-12 and 13-College. Adults are offered a topical course, and this spring will be learning and practicing the art of evangelism, how to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.
SHEPHERDING
The elders meet together frequently to pray for the church and to make decisions for its spiritual good. They also visit individual families to discover their spiritual needs, to encourage godliness in doctrine and life, to pray, and to comfort them in sickness and sorrow. Additionally, they regularly host members and guests in their own homes.
MISSIONS
Through the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Providence supports missionaries who work directly in planting indigenous sister churches around the world. Our particular congregation has close ties with mission congregations in Haiti. Our pastor regularly visits Haiti (and recently, the Dominican Republic) to preach and encourage the churches there. Additionally, we have sponsored our members in short term mission work throughout the world.
EVANGELISM
This spring during catechism school we will be studying and developing skills in evangelism. In addition to our Spring Arbor outreach, we are currently exploring starting an evangelistic college ministry. If you are interested in getting involved in bringing Christ to college students, please let us know.
Christian Education
The pursuit of wisdom in the fear of the Lord is a central task of Christian discipleship. To that end, Providence is committed to supporting Christian families in the education of their covenant children. Many of our families homeschool their children and use a combination of public and private educational resources. Starting in the fall of 2019, Lord willing, we will begin offering courses, in additional to our regular catechism school, for high school students. The first two courses will be in logic and rhetoric, and you can find more information here.

. . . the Church, into whose bosom God is pleased to gather his children, not only that they may be nourished by her help and ministry so long as they are infants and children, but also that they may be guided by her motherly care until they mature and at last reach to the goal of faith. For what God has joined together, it is not lawful to put asunder [Mark 10:9], so that, for those to whom he is Father, the Church may also be Mother.
We’re Here.
Our ministers and members are here to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in your life. Do you need to be instructed in the Christian faith? Are you in a crisis and need prayer and counsel? Are you looking for a church home? Did you visit or hear one of our sermons and you have some questions?
We’re listening.
